VM Consulting, led by CEO David Lee, is playing a key role in the strategic consulting process for ICC Jeju’s upcoming Second Center.

The project focuses on establishing mid- to long-term management vision and core action plans to support ICC Jeju’s second phase of growth. The scope includes organizational and human resources restructuring, development of revenue models, and marketing strategies designed to enhance operational efficiency and ensure sustainable profitability.

By reflecting the latest global trends in convention center management and the evolving MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) landscape, the consulting will present practical, actionable strategies to strengthen ICC Jeju’s international competitiveness.

The project is being carried out jointly by ICC Jeju’s internal task force and VM Consulting, with participation from Professor Byeongro Seo of Konkuk University and experts from the MICE and tourism sectors. VM Consulting’s CEO, Hyungjoo Lee, serves as the project manager, overseeing the overall strategic direction and execution plan.

The consulting will cover key areas including:

  • Development of mid- to long-term operational strategies for the Second Center

  • Organizational and human resources restructuring plans

  • Revenue model creation and facility pricing strategy

  • STP-based (Segmentation, Targeting, Positioning) marketing and promotional strategy for event acquisition

  • Concept planning for in-house events

The project is scheduled to run for approximately 12 weeks, with the final report presentation planned for August 2025.

Building on its expertise in Unique Venue consulting, VM Consulting has been expanding its consulting domain to include convention centers and large-scale venues. Staying true to its philosophy of "completing spaces through meaningful experiences," VM Consulting has consistently delivered results-driven strategies that balance operational profitability with preserving the distinctive character of each venue.

This project with ICC Jeju marks a significant milestone in VM Consulting’s ongoing expansion into the convention center sector, positioning the company as a comprehensive venue consulting partner.

David Lee, CEO of VM Consulting, stated, “The Second Center will be a key catalyst for ICC Jeju to establish itself as a leading international convention hub in Asia. Our mission is to provide a practical strategy and clear execution roadmap to help realize this vision,” adding, “The project will focus on building a resilient foundation for sustainable growth while remaining flexible to industry changes.”

With the completion of the Second Center, ICC Jeju aims to maximize synergy with its existing facilities and enhance its competitiveness in attracting global events, ultimately contributing to regional economic development.

VM Consulting plans to bring differentiated consulting solutions to the project by combining industry trends with its field-proven experience in venue strategy.
